Description
The Kingston IronKey Keypad 200 is an OS-independent, hardware-encrypted USB flash drive with an alphanumeric keyboard for easy PIN access.
The KP200 memory is equipped with XTS-AES encryption with a 256-bit key. The memory's circuits are coated with a layer of special epoxy resin that makes it virtually impossible to remove components without damaging them, which protects against attacks on semiconductor chips. The memory is designed to make any attempt at physical tampering visible. The alphanumeric keyboard is coated with a polymer layer that protects the keys and prevents guessing the sequence of their presses through fingerprint analysis.
The KP200 memory is equipped with a built-in rechargeable battery that allows it to be unlocked for the first time without software, and then connected to any device that supports USB-connected storage devices. This provides the user with maximum freedom to use the memory on multiple platforms with different operating systems.
With the Multi-PIN (administrator and user PIN codes) feature, the memory device allows setting easy-to-remember but hard-to-guess alphanumeric PIN codes for administrator and user accounts. The administrator can restore the user's PIN and provide access to the memory in case the user forgets the PIN or locks the memory after the maximum number of 10 user login attempts is reached. When administrator and user PINs are enabled, the KP200 memory locks the user PIN after 10 consecutive failed login attempts. If the administrator PIN code is entered incorrectly 10 times, the Brute Force protection function erases the memory using a cryptographic method, erases the data irretrievably and resets the device.
The memory also offers two levels of read-only mode (write protection) - a general mode, which can be set by the administrator, and a session mode, set by the user. Read-only modes protect the memory from malware on untrusted systems. In addition, the administrator can upload content and set a general read-only mode, allowing the user to access the data, but without being able to make changes.

- Operating system and device independence
The KP200 memory is equipped with a built-in rechargeable battery and a keyboard that allows it to be unlocked without software, and then connected to any device that supports USB-enabled storage devices. This provides the user with maximum freedom to use the memory on multiple platforms with different operating systems. - Multi-PIN option
Users have the option of choosing user or administrator/user mode. Administrator mode allows the user's PIN to be restored and provides access to the memory in case the user forgets the PIN or the memory is locked after the maximum number of 10 user login attempts is reached. - General and session read-only mode options
Both the administrator and user can set a session read-only mode to protect the memory from malware on untrusted systems. The administrator can also set a general read-only mode, which will remain active until the memory is reset.
